A cobblestone path leads to the old oak front door of the farmhouse and the slate flagged entrance hall. The lounge off has period furniture, a massive woodburning stove (logs supplied) and comfy settees. The flat screen TV and DVD provide one source of entertainment and traditional board games another. The lounge has slate flooring with rugs.
Opposite the lounge is the large kitchen/dining room with a dining table to seat ten guests, another woodburning stove, settee and stereo CD with ipod dock. At the kitchen end is an oil fired AGA two oven cooker (not lit in summer months), electric oven/grill with four ring gas hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and microwave. Modern kitchen units and a period dresser hold a comprehensive range of equipment and china and glassware for twelve.
The rear hall with access to the walled courtyard connects the kitchen to the utility room with washing machine and cloaks/storage. The stylish wet room beyond has a mains shower as well as basin and toilet. Quarry tiles provide the flooring in these rooms and the kitchen/dining room.
The Victorian staircase leads up to the four bedrooms. Bedroom one has a four poster double bed, period furniture and fireplace. Bedroom two has a double bed and bedroom three a period double bed and furniture with a Victorian fireplace. All three bedrooms have views over the garden.
Bedroom four has two single beds which can be linked to form a king size double on request, a hand basin and views over the courtyard and pond.
The unique and large bathroom features an island roll top bath with shower attachment and a modern power shower cubicle. Bedroom four is carpeted while the other upstairs rooms have wooden floors with rugs.
