The entrance hall with cloakroom and boots and coats drying cupboard leads to the spacious and beamed Long Barn with views over the garden and large velux windows making this area the focus of the Barns. The fully fitted kitchen has a Rangemaster electric double oven/grill with gas five ring hob, 2 fridges, freezer, bottle cooler, dishwasher, washing machine and combi microwave. There is a tumble dryer in the outside bicycle shed. Wooden worktops and pullout storage house crockery, cutlery and glassware for twenty.

 

Beyond the kitchen area there is a breakfast table that divides the kitchen from the lower level lounge with woodburner, freeserve TV/DVD and CD stereo with ipod dock. A selection of books, magazines and board games as well as comprehensive information on places to visit, walking and biking route guides and local information are all displayed here.

 

Stairs from the entrance hall lead down to the three Long barn side bedrooms, the first of which (Robin) features an antique double bed and the second, (Merlin), two single beds that can be zip linked to form a king size double bed on request. Between these two bedrooms is a bathroom with shower. Continuing down the passage past French doors opening onto the terrace and two steps down is the queen size Otter bedroom with ensuite shower room and door on to the terrace.

 

Returning to the entrance hall a short passage leads past the door and steps down to the terrace and into the Tallet half of the Barns. The Tallet dining room has an extending table to seat up to sixteen guests and also features lounge seating with a large Freesat TV with DVD/VHS and CD stereo.

 

At the far end of the Tallet is the Rook bedroom with king size bed and ensuite bathroom. Stairs down from the Tallet lead to three further bedrooms. The first (Moorhen) has two single beds which can be zip linked to form a king sized double on request. Next to this bedroom is a bathroom with shower and airing cupboard. Along the corridor to the Swallow bedroom with antique double bed, handbasin and doors directly onto the terrace. Finally, Fox bedroom has an ensuite shower room and doors directly on to the terrace.

All bedrooms and corridors are fully carpeted while the dining room, lounge and kitchen have wood or laminate flooring.

Outside

The fully enclosed garden has a large terraced area with seating for twenty, gas and charcoal barbecues (in season) and a giant chess set. The lawn leads to a fenced stream and play area with swings, slide, sandpit and outdoor games. Beyond is the Stables barn housing the full size skittles alley, table tennis, table football and darts. The bicycle shed opposite the main entrance houses four adult and two child size bikes for guest use and offers ample storage for guest's own sports equipment and bikes. Up above the bike shed is the treehouse with balcony that overlooks the Barns, petanque court, nature trail and the parking area for up to eight cars.

Beyond are over sixty acres of land belonging to Fletchers with trails, streams and copses to which guests have access.
